A lot of ISP and other type of network operators all over the world who invested several years ago in to ZHONE, Dasan (DZS) or other GPON solution, suffer because of difficulties with migration to new generation of FTTH / FTTx networks based on XGSPON standard.

XGSPON and XGSPON & GPON COMBO solution is the first choice these days for each operator who want to stay in game for next several years, however it is very painful to remove thousands of ZHONE, DASAN, Huawei or any other type of GPON ONTs when customers are still using them and pay for the service.
